Island Cask Strength Whisky: Traditionally, the Highland region has claimed all islands except Islay.The Island Malts from Skye, Jura, Mull, Aran and Orkney are characterized by a peaty, smokey nose with a salty, briney and smokey flavour. Some could be said to more closely resemble Islay malts while others are more like Northern Highland whiskies.
