Speyside Whisky: Probably the heart of the malt industry, with distilleries almost shoulder to shoulder along the Spey and its tributaries. Speysides can be huge and sherry wooded, with smokiness, great length and complexity. Often the nose is enough to entrance.

for the Auchroisk whisky.

Category: Speyside Whisky

Age:

Year: 1993

Alcohol by Volume: 43%

Distiller: Connoisseurs Choice

Bottler notes:
A relatively young distillery, built in 1974 by Justerini & Brooks, Auchroisk (pronounced “oth-rusk”) is located deep in the Speyside countryside, midway between Rothes and Keith. The distinctive collection of white washed buildings of Auchroisk has won many architectural awards for its design. Good water is a pre-requisite of distillation and this is found in abundance from nearby Dories Well. The stills at Auchroisk are high-necked, producing a light elegant spirit. Colour: Pale amber. Nose: Citrus fruits with leafy, floral aromas - some vanilla sweetness develops. Palate: Citrus fruits with cereal & malty notes. A touch of ozone also present. Body: Light. Finish: Clean, drying. Pleasant - easy going.
