Distiller notes: Our characteristic bottle is emerald green with the helmsman emblazoned within a golden porthole on the front. It comes complete with a booklet and a black gift tube that the bottle fits snugly into. The nose offers a fresh and aromatic experience with a subtle whiff of smoke floating through the air. The taste starts with a light fruit and nut appeal that leads to a spectacular malty sweetness, finishing into a beautifully rich full-bodied, lingering experience |
Bottler notes: The first thing you notice is the oily consistency, the malt practically sticks to the side of the glass. A soft mellow whisky of great character and distinction. Not the amount of peat one would associate with islay malts. |
Michael Jackson notes: Colour Gold. Nose Remarkably fresh sea-air aroma. Body Light to medium, firm. Palate Gentle, clean, nutty-malty sweetness. Finish Very full flavour development. A refreshing quality. |
The house style for the Bunnahabhain distillery is: Fresh, nutty. Aperitif. |
